At CIPRO, we believe that the growth of our tactical network goes hand-in-hand with the technical growth of our members. While any citizen can operate our receive-only (RX) nodes without a license, we know that many want to take the natural next step: obtaining their official amateur radio license.
Amateur Radio Course - Panama
To support new aspirants, CIPRO periodically organizes training talks and technical preparation courses aimed at obtaining an amateur radio license under Panamanian regulations.
In these training sessions, we cover:
- Local and international telecommunications regulations and laws.
- Fundamentals of radio frequency, electronics, and propagation.
- Practical equipment operation and on-air ethics.
- Introduction to CIPRO’s digital technologies (Reticulum, Meshtastic, APRS, Winlink).
Collaboration Model
Our training courses operate under a solidarity collaboration model with the group.
The donation or contribution you make to participate in these courses is not a payment for a commercial service, but rather goes entirely towards funding the project’s infrastructure:
- Maintenance of cloud servers (MQTT, Nomad Net, Winlink).
- Acquisition of hardware for deploying new nodes in strategic high points.
- Research and development of new prototypes.
In this way, while you train and acquire new technical skills, you are directly funding the growth of the emergency network that will serve the entire country.
